Excursions into the psyche of my insanity

Well, what can I say about this weekend but WOW !! It has truly been the Cirque du Soleil weekend for me and my husband. I just love the REAL WORLD!!!! You can not get this type of experience sitting behind your computer screen, I can promise you that! Remember when I said my real life was pretty freaking spectacular??...well this is one of those weekends that makes me getting back into my real life so wonderful. This weekend we got comp tickets for not just one Cirque show but TWO!!! Delirium and Zumanity. Not only did we get to see two fantastic shows, but we got to see them for free...I can't think of how it could have been any better and both times our seats were fabulous. Now, the first show I ever saw by Cirque du Soleil was "Nouvelle Experience" when they had it at the Mirage. I never got the fat lady with her weird spikey hair and the costumes. Well, finally...We went to the furniture store and picked out a new sofa. Soft leather, rivets and beautiful rich wood, that is what my new sofa is all about. Just the idea of my husband sitting on a rich leather sofa watching football is enough to bring me joy and bring a little tear to my eye. The house is starting to come together. The breakfast corner is done, complete with baskets filled with breakfast goodies, toaster in the corner, and juice glasses in the cabinet above. I finished cleaning up my mixer. Now I am a wonderful (according to my husband) baker. I love to bake. Pies, cakes, cookies, I definitely have my grandmother's touch when it comes to baking. I never can keep the cookie jar filled very long with my husband running around. Plus, at the end of the month, I've got company coming, that means that I'm going to have to triple my recipies to make enough for everyone and have it last more than a day. There have been many times in my life where I've been so frustrated that all I can do is sigh and say, "Some people just don't get it" I'm on a big trip in the There Forums right now about how guys are getting screwed because the women have all the great templates and the guys are left looking like perpetual feces. (I don't bother logging into world anymore, I just check the forums and see what they are whining about. I do it because of my term on the MAB, 6 months of checking forums every day became a habit.) I'm a girl for Chrissakes!!! I'm championing a cause for guys who won't ever get what I'm trying to do for them! Some men don't care how they look. Others do. It is now truly apparent to me that Therians have no taste and absolutely no style. They wouldn't even begin to know what to do if they were ever driven up Rodeo Drive.
