People who have no manners.

Ok, so my friends in There know that I own the first surf shop ever created in our virtual world. I sell surfboards, bathing suits, patio sets...you know, the regular beach themed gear...
In There, on Wednesday's and Friday's we have a data merge of all of the new products that member developers have created and submitted to There. It's lovingly called "The Push". Now the push for those of us who own stores and put vehicles in them, like my Surfboard hoverboards, bacios and hoverboats, we know that when the push comes through, all of our vehicles that we put out to display are going to drop through the collision mesh and fall to the ground. No biggie, you just have to remember to go in every Wednesday and Friday and reset them. All you have to do is change the permissions for 5 minutes, reset your stuff and change the permissions back so that people can't shoplift the vehicles you put out for display while you're not there.
Well, one of my biggest pet peeves came to visit my store after I had gone in to reset the M2 Therecedes Hoverboat and the X6 Bacio...some idiot comes in and while I have the permissions set for dropping and picking up items, this newbie comes in and steals not only a surfboard, but what I was standing there placing out right in front of him! Now I could see it if I had left and forgot to reset the permissions...hey, it happens, you just retrieve the stuff, go reset it and go about your merry business. But for some freaking idiot to come along and steal things right in front of me and AFTER I told him, "do not pick them up, they are not loaners, they are for display only", he just says, "MINE" takes them and takes off running. Now the vindictive person in me wishes that the Village Marketplace would have vehicles enabled so that when he took off in the hoverboat I could rip it out from under his dumb arse and send him pummeling to the ground. But no, alas, my mean and wicked spirit gets no instant gratification tonight, so I just went into my things and retrieved them. After I went to set them back out again, Mr. Moron (and that's not his name, but it'll do in a pinch) comes back and decides to steal them again! I even repeated politely, "They are for DISPLAY"!!! After the 3rd time, that was it...Mr. Moron went on ignore and for his entire life in There, he will never ever be able to set foot one into my store or any of my properties in world ever again. His loss. That's what you get for having no manners. What ever happened to "if it doesn't belong to you, don't touch it"??
Bottom line, if you're going to act like an idiot around me and leave your manners in the barn where you were born, be ready to pay the price for your ignorance.
Like my husband always says, "Make your words kind, gentle and tasteful, for one day, you may be forced to eat them."
I have nothing kind, gentle or tasteful to say to people who have no manners.
In my more than a year and a half in There, I have had a lot of experiences with a lot of people. Some are so sweet and polite, they are folks that you want to be your next door neighbors in Real Life. Others, well, let's just say that common sense isn't all that common and they should learn to think before they speak, take two minutes to think about what they do before they do it and just be nice and keep their hands and rude comments to themselves.
It's the quote that my husband sent to me the other day, "Light travels faster than sound. That is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak."

But on to better things...
Dinner tonight...OMG Dinner!! Huge RAVE goes out to Paymon's Mediterranean Cafe and Lounge here in Vegas. My sweet husband had this tremendous Gyro Salad and I went for the Steak Kabob. OMG! AWESOME food! We started out with the Shrimp, Artichoke and Spinach dip with fresh pita bread, it was so good, I nearly bit into my fingers. The meal was outstanding!
You have to understand, I spent 3 years living in Montreal, which has a HUGE Greek community, so the Mediterranean food is always amazing. Anywhere you go in Montreal, the food is amazing. The European palette is so delicate and they spend their lives in search of the ultimate dining experience. In the US, we don't really focus on that and I think it would be a good practice for Americans to get into. After being back in Vegas for a little over a year now, I was seriously missing great Mediterranean fare. My husband had gone to lunch with some folks from the UNLV Engineering department and he ate at the Paymon's that is near campus. We ate at the one on Sahara. After he came in from work on Friday, he looked at me and said, "I found a great place that does Greek/Lebanese fusion cuisine". Now all of my friends know that I am the ultimate food snob. I mean, my favorite all time dish is the Wienerschnizel at Spago over in the Forum Shops at Caesars. That coupled with a great Riesling and finishing it with a berry filled Creme Brulee is what I call a real meal. The food at Paymon's appeased the food snob in me. It was fantastic. Our server was a sweet gal named Dee. Her knowledge of the food combined with her great personality really made our dining experience complete. I told my husband right then and there that we were going to Paymon's for my 35th Birthday Party next month. It was just THAT good. If you are ever in Vegas and want to have a fantastic dining experience outside of going to Spago or Chenois or any of the Wolfgang Puck places, Paymon's would be a fantastic place to go. The interior of the restaurant is all decked out in the usual Pier 1 Imports middle eastern theme which segues very well into their Hookah Lounge that is attached to the restaurant. What was the coolest thing about the whole experience is that they have famous quotes painted on the walls. So, tonight for dinner, I got my palette as well as my intellect satisfied. That's what I call a dining experience!
